There might be a more correct term to describe this, but I call it a knuckle so that’s what it is. It’s a slice taken off a large beech log, at the point where a limb used to be before it died off many years before the tree itself died. What you see is the way the trunk was healing over the wound. Anyway, it’s pretty much flattened on the back, and has a wire attached so it can be hung on the wall somewhere. I’ve put some dried stuff in there as an idea of what you can use it for. But you can’t have the dried stuff. It’s MINE.
